• Forest Health

  • During the height of the mountain pine beetle outbreak, we spent a lot of time in Tumbler Ridge, BC helping in the attempt to manage the Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic. The Peace Region was one of the main focus points due to its proximity to Alberta.

  •  we worked on a Spruce Decline project with Medi-For in Fort Nelson, BC for Slocan Forest Products assessing forest health for the TSA including Eastern Spruce Budworm (Choristoneura fumiferana), Spruce Beetle (Dendroctonus rufipennis) as well as root rots (including Armillaria sinapina and Inonotus tomentosus) and secondary pests such as Ips spp., Ambrosia beetle and woodborers.
